Neil Bleasdale

Neil Bleasdale graduated from Leeds University with a BA (Hons) in 1978. From 1979 to 1991 he worked for Lloyds Bank International in London, Uruguay, Argentina, Peru and Brazil, where he ended up as Head of International Capital Markets in Sao Paulo. In 1991 he joined ING Bank in Amsterdam as Chief Officer, Corporate Finance in the Emerging Markets Group, and from 1994 to December 1997 he was Managing Director, Corporate and Investment Banking at ING Barings’ Buenos Aires office. From December 1997 to February 2008 he was Finance Director of Supercanal Holding S.A. and Uno Medios S.A.
In October 2006 he became Deputy Chairman of Empresa Distribuidora de Electricidad de Mendoza S.A. EDEMSA and since March 2008 has been Chairman and General Manager of EDEMSA. He joined the Board of Andes Energía in 2006 and was Chairman from 2007 to July 2012. He was also a director of HDS, the controlling shareholder of Hidreléctrica Ameghino S.A.
He is a member of the board of ADEERA, the Association of Electricity Distributors of the Argentine Republic, and also a director of Valos, a Mendoza-based NGO which fosters corporate social responsibility in the province.
